SAMAIPATA TOUR
Just 120 km from the Mega City of Santa Cruz de la Sierra is the delightful bohemian town of Samaipata. Ideally located in a valley between the Andes Mountain ranges and Amazon Rainforests of Amboro National Park, this town has become the perfect escape for locals Santa Cruz and tourists who come to enjoy its many attractions.
Samaipata is the perfect base for exploring an incredible array of world class tourist attractions, its cooler climate, friendly vibe and scenery is why many tourist simply never leave.

Hotel Pick up and a scenic drive to the towards the town of Samaipata , our first stop being the impressive Las Cuevas Waterfalls where we have a few hours of swimming before stopping for lunch in the town of Samaipata, after lunch we explore the El Fuerte Musuem and then do a guided tour of the World heritage listed Pre Incan El Fuerte Listed Ruins which are some of the most impressive in all of the Americas, keep an eye out for Andean Condors which are frequently seen, return to Santa Cruz around 1830.

Day 1
Hotel pick up in SCZ and enjoy the scenic drive to Samaipata, first stop is Las Cuevas Waterfalls, lunch then a visit to the El Fuerte Museum, 2 hour guided tour of El Fuerte Ruins.

Day 2
Breakfast then depart to the Amboro National Park where we will encounter one of the only places in the world to see the spectacular Ancient Giant Ferns forests, keep an eye out for wildlife as Spectacled Bears and Pumas have been seen here, we return for lunch before returning to SCZ in the evening.

DAY 1
Hotel pick up and scenic drive to Samaipata, swim at Las Cuevas Waterfalls then lunch in Samaipata, El Fuerte Musuem visit and 2 hour guided tour of El Fuerte Ruins.
Overnight in hotel in Samaipata.
DAY 2
Hotel Pick up and depart to the world’s best Andean Condor viewing area, we first have a 2 hour scenic drive to the base of our hike before we commence a 5 hour plus challenging trek to the top of a valley where we wait to observe these majestic birds, over 100 Condors have been recorded in a single day with the usual amount ranging from 5 to 25 per day. After the trek if time permits we visit the spectacular La Pajcha Waterfalls to cool off.
Returning to Samaipata for dinner and rest.
DAY 3
Breakfast then depart to the Amboro National Park where we will encounter one of the only places in the world to see the spectacular Ancient Giant Ferns forests, keep an eye out for wildlife as Spectacled Bears and Pumas have been seen here, we return for lunch before returning to SCZ in the evening.

After reading reviews of this tour company here on TA, four of us older travellers booked a day tour to Samaipata. We were not disappointed. It was a long day but a very interesting and enjoyable one. Our guide, Iver, has an amazing knowledge and understanding of the El Fuerte Pre-Incan site and explained its history to us. It is a very interesting place to visit. We also enjoyed the museum and waterfall. Our driver , Migel, also did a great job negotiating the road safely and carefully - at times the road was quite rough and narrow. All in all, a great day thank you.

I was in Bolivia on a Mission trip past March. One of my counterparts got a day trip set up for a group of us. We were picked up at our hotel by Nick himself along with his significant other ☺ From the moment we started out trip to the end….it could not have been better ☺ Samaipata tour was amazing along with the Las Cuevas waterfalls…..just breathtaking. We had a lunch at La Luna Verde, Resto Bar…….EXCELLENT food!! Nick/significant could not have been any friendlier, professional and passionate about what they do ☺ I could go on and on but if I get a chance to go to Bolivia again,,,,,,,,I will be hooking up with Nick´s Adventures again…thank you so much for a memorable day!!!
