TOUR INTINERARY
Early morning or afternoon hotel or hostel pick up and we depart for the 187 hectare Botanical Gardens, which in reality is the last remaining forested area in the Santa Cruz City area, here our trained guides will take you on guided treks through the forest where they will be aiming to show you some of the native animals which still thrive here, Target species which our guides will be looking for include the iconic 3 Toed Sloth, Black tailed Marmoset, Capuchin Monkeys, White Eared Titi Monkeys, Night Monkeys, Howler Monkeys , Toucans, Trogons, Snakes, Coatis and more.
Many of these species are extremely hard to spot especially the Sloth but our guides are trained to find them and will teach you about these incredible animals and more.
After exploring the forests and learning about the flora and fauna of the region we return to your original pick up point hopefully full of excellent photos and memories.

While we have excellent success at seeing a large variety of wildlife, we can never promise animal sightings, these animals are in their natural environment. We do however have excellent guides who are experts in finding wildlife and will do everything possible to have our quests have wildlife viewing.

We came to Santa Cruz solely with the hope of seeing a sloth in the wild. Nick worked hard to make that dream a reality. His enthusiasm about animals and conservation is infectious, and his knowledge of the greater Santa Cruz region is extensive. We had a great day and, with Nick's well trained eye, we spotted numerous monkeys, several bird species including a toucan, many capybara, a caiman alligator, and of course FIVE SLOTHS. We only suggest that you bring plenty of snacks as we were quite hungry by the end of our action packed day. Nick also recommended we visit the Santa Cruz botanical gardens, which we did the next day where saw two more sloths.
